I’m a food scientist, former sous chef, and mom passionate about making food science simple, practical, and accessible.
My journey with food began where I worked as a sous chef and learned firsthand how powerful real food can be. Wanting to understand the science behind cooking, I went on to earn a college degree in chemistry, followed by a master’s degree in food science, blending culinary arts with scientific research and evidence-based nutrition.
Today, I focus on breaking down food science, ingredients, and nutrition research in a way that’s easy to read and free from fear-mongering. The food world is full of confusing claims and wellness trends—I’m here to translate the science so you can make informed choices without the overwhelm.
